Injured Party - Face to Face Appointment Advice

At UKIM, we are committed to mitigating risk, protecting you, protecting our panel of medical experts and preventing the spread of Covid-19.

We are closely following Government advice, particularly in relation to the national restrictions which were introduced on 5th November 2020 in response to recent spikes in the spread of Covid-19. Current available guidance suggests that you may travel for specific purposes, including for any medical concerns, reasons, appointments and emergencies.

The policies and procedures we have in place, detailed below, ensure that face to face medical appointments can continue to be conducted safely however if you do not feel comfortable attending your appointment or have any concerns you would like to discuss then please contact our team.

Please note that we are not scheduling any new face to face medical appointments at this time.

Please tell us as soon as possible if:

• You would prefer an earlier, remote consultation by video-chat.

• You are considered to be clinically high risk or vulnerable as this will allow us to determine if you may benefit from a remote consultation instead.

• You are unable to attend your appointment and would like to re-arrange this for a more convenient time.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • Wash and sanitise your hands
  • Wear clean clothing if possible
  • Please don’t be late or arrive more than ten minutes early
  • Please DO NOT attend your medical appointment if you are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms

If you have a new continuous cough, a high temperature, or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell, do not come to your appointment. Isolate following the Government guidelines.

AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

To help reduce the risk and spread of infection, we ask that you please:

  • Wait outside or in the car until the time of your appointment
  • Do not attend alongside other family members or friends, where possible
  • Maintain a two-metre distance at all times
  • Wear an appropriate face covering if you have access to one
  • Utilise the sanitising facilities on site
  • Observe the Covid-19 guidance measures displayed at the building entrance

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

When your medical appointment is over, please:

  • Utilise the sanitising facilities on site
  • Leave the premises as soon as possible
  • Wash your hands before meeting anyone else
