    Paul Healey


    Paul supports and guides our senior management team and strategies. Paul's background is predominantly in insurance (via AA & Endsleigh), and he formed LAB Medico Legal in 1996 to become one of the top five MROs nationally. Paul joined UKIM in 2004 to lead business development and growth.

    Chris Nairns

    Managing Director

    Chris is Managing Director of UKIM. This involves leading a whole business approach, focused on delivering exceptional service and a positive customer experience. His background is in financial services in spells with major UK insurers and an investment bank. This drives his interest in operational efficiency and compliance with the legislative and statutory landscapes in which our customers operate. He actively supports technology based improvements to seamlessly link the customer journey and mandatory reporting.

    Paul Gray

    Finance Director

    As Finance Director, Paul has overall responsibility for UKIM's finance function. He provides accurate, timely and consistent financial information to our management team and manages statutory reporting, cash flow management, planning and forecasting. Paul has over 20 years experience in managing finance functions within various industries in both national and international roles.

    Alan Ballard

    Partnership Director (Occupational Health)

    Alan has worked in Occupational Health and Wellbeing for two leading providers. He has 15 years industry experience. Alan’s consultative approach has seen him scope, multiple operational solutions with major business in the UK. His expertise has seen him transition some of the largest Occupational Health Contracts in the UK. He has skills in Project Management, Modelling and Account Management. Alan will see your contract through to a steady state and will manage the transition of your service taking full accountability.

    Dr Les Smith

    Lead Medical Officer (Occupational Health)

    Les is responsible for clinical excellence, auditing and redesign in our Occupational Health & Wellbeing service. He is a Consultant Occupational Physician and Accredited Specialist in Occupational Medicine.  Les is a recognised expert in this field and developed the first UK Heath Risk Appraisal - the “Well Programme" in 2000. He also designed and introduced possibly the first mobile Health Screening Units in the UK in 1994 and the first in House Psychology service using talking therapies in 1997.

    Lauren Metcalfe

    Head of Operations

    As Head of Operations, Lauren has responsibility for all of UKIM’s operational teams and customer facing functions. Lauren manages the execution and delivery of customer outcomes, patient interaction, safeguarding and our compliance with statutory regulations. Lauren has a financial background and has been with UKIM since 2004, serving as Company Accountant and Finance Manager.

    Allan Totty

    Head of IT

    Allan is responsible for UKIM’s IT services and has a key focus on change management and system development. After graduating from Sunderland University with a degree in Computing with Mathematics, Allan worked for several years in a manufacturing environment, primarily focused on infrastructure and support with an increasing level of managerial responsibility. Allan joined UKIM in 2007 as our first IT in house specialist and has since covered a range of IT disciplines whilst growing the business and department.

    Jim Liddy

    Senior Office Services Manager

    Jim joined UKIM in 2014 as Facilities and Health & Safety Manager. He is responsible for the day to day running of our premises and the health and safety of all staff and visitors. Jim was a formerly a Warrant Officer in the British Army and joined us having retired after 25 years’ service. He is a Technical Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and Safety Institute of Fire Safety Management.
